Compressed monolayer. What does it mean?

Typical values of ESP:                           1 - 10 mN/m

Typical values of πdep :                        20 - 40 mN/m

It can be concluded that the deposition occurs when the monolayer is in non-equilibrium state. Transfer of solid substrate through the monolayer results in a phase transition of the latter from "two-dimensional" liquid crystal state into solid state. The deposition is impossible under the ESP value.

What is the degree of monolayer compression?

Thus, surface pressure of 30 mN/m corresponds to pressure of 120 atm. (!!)
