LB film deposition:

Feed-back is switched off. Monolayer is compressed up to the necessary value of surface pressure (πdep). (Surface pressure-area isotherm is recorded.) Feed-back is switched on, i.e. (πdep) value is maintained starting from this moment. After monolayer relaxation, the solid substrate is dipped up and down, between the coorditates yup and ydown, through the monolayer formed at the air-water interface. Film deposition takes place. Deposition curve, i.e. dependence of barrier coordinate on the substrate coordinate x = x (y) is recorded. Transfer ratio (K), which shows quality of LB film deposition, can be calculated at any point of the deposition curve.
